WIFE OF A SALESMAN

October 31 – November 17, 2024

You may think you already know their story. You’d be wrong. What would’ve happened if the housewife from a classic American drama (that you definitely read in high school) confronted the woman who was sleeping with her husband? With sharp dialogue and spirited debate, acclaimed playwright Eleanor Burgess brings a fresh perspective on the timeless themes of marriage, duty, and happiness in Wife of a Salesman. As new life is breathed into these timeless characters, we discover the ways the world has, and hasn’t, changed across generations.

Called “so smart” and “highly recommended” by the Chicago Sun Times and “a modern masterpiece full of stimulating themes” by BroadwayWorld, you won’t want to miss this thrilling and timely look at womanhood and the choices we make.

FAT HAM

March 6-23, 2025

In this witty take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the only real death is the patriarchy. To be or not to be certainly is the question for Juicy, a young, queer Black man. Juicy grapples with identity, family, responsibility, and honesty as generations clash at a backyard barbecue, serving up all of the drama, wit, and existential angst of the Bard with a generous side of humor and heart. See what the New York Times calls “a hilarious yet profound tragedy smothered in comedy,” in James Ijames’ Pulitzer Prize–winning Fat Ham.
